LADIES LIFTING WEIGHT WILL NOT MAKE YOU “BULKY”

This we hear a lot, but it is easily laughed aside due to a few reasons. The term generally means muscular, but is used lazily, and is based on looks rather than function and performance.

What Strength and Conditioning workouts actually do is make women:

  •  fit
  • strong
  • healthy

The idea that strength and Conditioning workouts make women ‘bulky’ makes assumptions about how a woman should be, which is also wrong in itself. If a woman wants to be ‘bulky’, and she works hard enough, then she will.

At 606 Strength & Conditioning we believe in providing inclusive training for all. Utilising a wide variety of functional exercises taken from disciplines such as gymnastics, weightlifting, athletics and kettlebells, we’ll provide you with the knowledge and skills that will enable you to increase your strength and fitness and excel at any physical task.

Our programming is designed and adapted for each individual that trains with us meaning we can help you regardless of whether you want to play a professional sport, compete at Cross Training Competions or simply make all-round improvements in your strength and fitness.
